Nu är det ett par veckor sen jag kom hem från Ryssland, St. Petersburg & Moskva. Vilket underbart land med mycket historia, god mat & MYCKET att se. Jag hoppades på att det skulle vara värt det eftersom jag lade ner mycket tid på att förstå hur det här med visumet fungerade. När jag väl förstod det, så var det väldigt enkelt. Så varför ska jag inte dela med mig av min erfarenhet? Här får ni 2 olika alternativ att göra det på.

Alternativ 1 för turistvisum: 

Vill du göra det på egen hand? Så här gör du i kort text.

Steg 1: Kontakta ditt försäkringsbolag & be om ett rysslandsintyg (kostnadsfritt)

Steg 2: Se till att du har ett giltigt nationellt pass, med minst två tomma sidor avsedda för visum. Se även till passets giltighetstid ska löpa minst sex månader efter visumets utgångsdatum. Du måste också ha ett ID-foto som ska med i dokumenten. Färgfoto 3,5 x 4,5 cm med ljus bakgrund framifrån utan glasögon eller huvudbonad.

Steg 3: När du ska boka hotell, behöver du en voucher (inbjudan) från hotellet. Jag rekommenderar att ringa till hotellet direkt & fråga om hotellet kan erbjuda detta. Alternativ om ni vill boka via Hotels.com eller Booking.com så rådfrågar ni dom så hjälper dom er.

Steg 4: Fyll i visering ansökningen via denna länken. Skriv ut & signera den. Här finns den elektroniska ansökan: Visumansökan

Steg 5: Boka ett personligt besök på IFS visumcentralen i Stockholm eller i Göteborg. Lämna in din visumansökan till det valda visumcentret, i förväg utvalt med bokad tid eller skicka dokumenten via posten med hjälp av posttjänster.

Svårare än så är det inte om du vill göra det på egen hand. Behöver du ytterligare hjälp eller är inte förstår så skicka gärna ett mail. Kostnaderna är:

• 1-3 arbetsdagar: 700 SEK + 495 SEK (serviceavgift) = 1195 SEK
• 4-10 arbetsdagar: 350 SEK + 315 SEK (serviceavgift) = 615 SEK

Alternativ 2: 

Jag gjorde på ett annat sätt som är väldigt smidigt. Jag kontaktade Bosse på Bas International. När det kommer till hotell så bokar han detta åt dig vilket underlättar väldigt mycket & Hotellen han erbjuder är helt fantastiska. Centrala & bra pris. Det ända du behöver göra om du väljer detta alternativet är:

• Ring ditt försäkringsbolag & be om ett “Rysslandsintyg”.
• Se till att du giltigt pass & ID – Foto.
• Fyll i elektronisk Visumansökan: https://visa.kdmid.ru/

Detta företaget kommer berätta steg för steg exakt vad du ska göra & hur du ska göra det. skulle du få problem på resan så hjälper dom till med det med. Väldigt proffsiga och framförallt noggranna. Ett visum här kostar: 950kr.

Inspiration:

Jag var i både St. Petersburg & Moskva. Fantastiska städer på alla sätt & jag rekommenderar alla att åka dit. Det är en tågresa på 4h ca mellan dessa 2 städerna om man vill upptäcka båda. Här kan ni läsa om när jag var där. Min resa i Ryssland!

After a quick stop in Tallin, Estonia I’m now in Riga, Latvia to make another quick stop before I move on. I recommend to travel between this countries with “Ecolines”. Comfortable seats and TV-Screens with plenty of movies and music. To travel this distance will take you 4 hours and only cost you 12€.

When I arrived to Riga I knew what I wanted to do here. There’s a place called “Drifta halle” that everyone who travel to Riga has to visit.

”Wolftrike” drift trikes are equipped with an electric engine, capable of reaching the speed of 50 km/h. 1 ride will only cost you 10-15€ and you will have the time of your life.

Not to mention they have 4 wheelers and other motorized vehicles as well to drive for a decent price. Did I mention you also get a free monster energy drink and coffee when you buy a ticket? Yeah, this is a place you definitely have to visit!

Overall I thought Riga was an old city with a lot of history. A good travel for a weekend with the old town, cheap prices and very friendly people!

 

A very comfortable 16 hour night train from Moscow, Russia took me to Tallin in Estonia. What I can say about these trains is that I really recommend it. The service is tip top with a restaurant wagon that has a full menu with delicious food and drinks. The prices is also very cheap.

I arrived in Tallin and was welcomed by the sun and beautiful nature. Tallin is a perfect visit for 1-2 day and the Old town is definitely something you have to see with its small alleys and the old architecture. Tallin have a lot of history as well and Estonia is celebrating 100 years of independence this year!

St. Petersburg

It’s Monday morning, and I’m leaving the cold in Finland behind me. After three and a half hour on a train I’m welcomed with beautiful spring weather in St. Petersburg. My cold injuries are now only a memory. My sneakers will take me to many exciting places, including Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, Kazan Chatedral, Saints Peter and Paul Chatedral. Wow, those buildings! It feels like a different world! This also depends on Russia’s special alphabet. I don’t understand a single letter! Combined with the Russians poor English skills, it was pretty hard for me to communicate with them. On the local bar O’Hooligans, while watching the Champions League, I still managed to order a beer or five (who’s counting?).

The high speed train will now take me to Moscow. Hang on to see what I will be doing there!

The high speed train will take me to Moscow metropolis. To my surprise, snow and ice are not a fact. On the contrary, summer is here! My sunglasses are no longer in my backpack when I visit the Red Square, St. Basil’s Cathedral and last but not least: Kremlin, also known as Russia’s power center.

Helsingfors, Finland

It´s just after eight a.m., Sunday April 1st. I’m sitting in a car in Malmö, with my backpack in the backseat and the expectations in my head. Not to forget: the cup is filled with coffee (also known as the drink of life), which will be my best friend for the next 372 miles to Stockholm.

When I arrive to the capital, I get on the boat that will take me to my first stop on this trip: Helsingfors.
